Core Bed

With our previous bed frame, I felt the mattress move every time my husband rolled over. The Core Bed platform frame with slats on the bottom is so solid and sturdy, that I don't feel it when my husband moves around. The look is sleek, simple and stylish - works with pretty much any type of decor. Plus, our bedroom is small, and we don't have room for a large bed frame with a headboard. I did not want to buy this bed. A headboard that prevented pillows from hitting the wall or slipping to the floor was desired. Additionally, we have slept on latex for years, the support spacing is too big (although the manufacturer claims it is fine for their own latex mattresses?) requiring an additional purchase of a bunkie board. Furthermore, the bunkie board sold here is problematic in that it is a solid board. But this was needed in an upstairs room in an old house. The total vertical wall space available did not allow for any decent headboard/bedframe combinations. Most importantly, there was not time to have something built. So after much searching I found a decently manufactured bunkie board and pulled the trigger on both. With the board the mattress sits level with the frame making it really easy to change the sheets. With the mattress centered there is just a little space between it and the head and foot of the frame. Not problematic or obviously noticeable. I plan to order a separate headboard elsewhere and suspect this addition will shift the mattress down and the gap at the foot will be completely eliminated. It is quite sturdy and silent so far. It is really nice not to have central vertical supports under the bed. Both for cleaning and potential storage options. The only issue is if we want to move it. The combined weight of everything makes it impossible to do so without removing the near 180lb mattress first!

Core bed/Natural mattress quality/comfort & minimalist style - perfect!

We looked at MANY bed options and decided on the Core Bed. It is rock solid - no squeaks, no movement. It is very well designed and simple to assemble. The side rails lock into the head and foot rails without need for fasteners, similar to joinery bed frames but more sturdy in steel.

I purchased this twin Core bed frame for a small guest room, but have not used it yet. I have owned a king version of the same Core bed frame that has worked well for 4 years. This bed frame is easy to assemble and disassemble for moving, it takes up minimal space in a room, it is a sturdy and silent frame, and it supports a variety of mattresses.

as someone who is accustomed to ikea, i balked at the price, but this baby is worth it. solid, all metal, and tall enough for under-bed storage. also the color is cute. i feel good about the purchase and my bed doesn't squeak and creak whenever i roll over.
