Basic

We bought this for our son's first 'big boy' bed and it still feels brand new after 3 years! All of us are very pleased with it - perfectly firm yet soft, he transitioned smoothly from his toddler crib mattress to sleeping on this with no issues. Both of us have spent time sleeping on it and find it so comfortable that I'm considering a similar one from R& B for our adult mattress purchase, as we are overdue. Excellent construction, no concerns about off-gassing, etc.

Mattress as described but quite firm. Bought for second home. Don't know if it would work as an everyday situation.

I spent a lot of time researching mattresses for my son and chose this one because I felt the quality/price balance was fair. I also wanted a traditional innerspring mattress and preferred to go with an established brand. We've only had the mattress a few weeks, but I'm happy with it so far. It's our 4-year-old's first "big kid" mattress, and I've comfortably dozed off next to him several times. I was worried about it being TOO firm based on the description, but it's not. To me, it's a medium firmness. Also, it has no weird smells. Though it's described as a kids' mattress, I think the mattress could also work just fine for an adult, such as in a guest room. #sweepstakes

Perfect for the bunk bed in our son's room. We used it for the bottom bunk. #sweepstakes

This is my daughter's first "big girl" mattress and it's been a very easy transition from her crib/toddler bed mattress. It's nice and firm but also soft/padded for a comfortable feel. It's pretty light so it makes changing the sheets very easy. We appreciate that it's made in the USA with natural materials, so there's no weird smell or offgassing like with some other mattresses. I spent a lot of time researching and looking at mattresses in stores, and this has proved to be a great purchase. I would definitely recommend, and I'll consider Room and Board for my next mattress purchase.

#sweepstakes I'm sensitive to smells and always wary of VOC in products so do a lot of research before purchasing furniture or mattresses. We purchased this twin-sized R&B mattress for our toddler (our second R&B mattress purchase), and was happy we could use it right away (i.e., did not have to worry about off-gassing). Our toddler loves his new, bigger bed too and lingers in bed relaxing and reading after he gets up, which means bonus marks from the parents (when he was in his old bed, he'd be up and about as soon as he woke up). I took a nap in this bed myself and found it comfy, too :)

I wanted a mattress that was well-made, with quality materials and good factory practices, but didn't break the bank. This was perfect. It was purchased for a child's first "big boy bed", so the firmness worked great (he was used to a firm convertible crib mattress). The quality materials and design are evident. I'm very happy I found this option—R&B always comes through with well-made furniture and mattresses are no exception! #sweepstakes

Purchased for a toddler's first twin-sized bed. It's perfect for a kid—he prefers a firmer feel after graduating from a convertible crib. I appreciate the quality material and approach to construction. It made me feel good about making the purchase and having my child sleep on it. It checked all the boxes for value (quality + price) and good-for-the-world materials and factory practices. #sweepstakes

Such a comfortable bed. It's my son's first "big boy bed" and he loves it. #sweepstakes

Great bed. We have it in our guest room.
