I bought two of these mattresses for my kids' bunk beds. They are 6" thick which provided plenty of safe space between the mattress and rail on the top bunk. My kids (4,6) told me they liked the mattresses but they didn't look terribly comfortable to me. Since getting them I've been able to sleep on these when my kids have gotten sick and rotated beds. I've been amazed, as an adult male, how comfortable they are. I think I slept better on them than on my much more expensive queen mattress.

We haven't had these very long, but it felt great having my daughter sleep in her new bunk bed on this mattress the day they were delivered. There was ZERO off gassing/chemical smell. They fit the room and board bunk bed perfectly and are comfy enough for mom and dad to fall asleep on, too.
